Snapshot A lesser-known superhero tale. For those of us who aren't familiar with the storyline, the movie sets the scene early on. The Green Lanterns are a force of 3600 protectors of the universe, powered by the energy of "will". After the main villain (Parallax), who feeds on fear and has the ability to destroy entire species/planets, escapes his planetary prison and defeats one of the most powerful Green Lanterns (Abin Sur) in battle, Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) is chosen by Sur's ring to be his successor. Predictably, Jordan, the first human Green Lantern, is faced with the daunting challenge of facing Parallax alone. As it turns out, his human faults work to his advantage. While the storyline is weak in certain respects and overemphasizes the relationship between Jordan and Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), the movie is entertaining; lot's of action, quality 3D and good effects.
Acting Solid performances by all. Reynolds stands out as he brings a sense of lightheartedness to the character.
